Nathan's Preschool Open House

Today was Nathan's preschool open house and meet the teacher! He has the same awesome teacher Emma had when she started preschool. Nathan enjoyed checking out the room and toys! He loved the table of beans (2nd picture)!!

First Friday!

Emma's first Friday of school! We made it through one week. Now how many more until summer??

Nathan's Office

Nathan decided that my step stool in the pantry/laundry room is the perfect table and chair to sit at for snack time. He shuts the door when he needs a little quiet time!

26 weeks, 5 days

Me and baby #3!

Waiting to pick up Emma

Nathan is not impressed!

Emma's first day of Kindergarden!

Emma burst into our room at 6:10 this morning, all dressed and screamed "It's Kindergarden!" Drop off went well. We were the first to her room at 7:20. She found her chair at the red table, and started coloring. We were all set to go after she announced "I think I'm pretty used to Kindergarden now, you can go!" But just then a boy at her table started crying and Emma got a bit weepy. We had a few more big hugs and then left. She was a bit sad but we lurked in the hall and could see that she recovered quickly!

Now I just need to glue the wooden pointer stick that Nathan broke when he slammed it on the floor! That was a bit embarrassing to confess to Mrs. Sharp (Emma's teacher) but I offered to glue it for her.

Meet the Teacher!

Today we met Emma's teacher, Ms. Sharp, and visited her classroom. Emma is super excited about the computer center, and she made a friend right away. Her name is Bree and Emma says they are already best friends!

So Ready!

Emma is so ready for Kindergarden next week! This first picture is a checklist she made of things to do in the morning. The order on the list is: brush teeth, brush hair, get dressed, get sleep out of eyes, get out of bed. So it's not necessarily in order and she left out breakfast, but she is really trying to be prepared!

The bottom picture is Emma and her Kindergarden friends. Emma is the girl on the left.

Nathan's first movie!

Today we took the kids to see Planes! It was Nathan's first time in a theater. He did pretty well, but he did ask to go home about 30 minutes before it was over. We made it through it all though!

Number 3!

This news is long overdue, but I wanted to have a post announcing the upcoming arrival of our 3rd child!  We are expecting a son in mid to late November!

With two other children still needing me, I've had little time for written updates.  The first part of my pregnancy was very hard, I was sick with nausea and vomiting continually for about 3 months.  But that has finally passed, and I'm feeling much better.  I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant.  The baby is doing great, and growing fast.

This summer we've been busy making a few more memories before our family of 4 becomes 5!  We had a great trip to Galveston, just after I got over feeling sick.  Emma loved Schlitterbahn at Galveston, and she was big enough to do most of the rides.  Emma and Tony did rides while Nathan and I hung out in the shallow kid area with slides and a pirate ship.  We enjoyed Moody Gardens, fresh seafood and getting ice cream and candy at La King's Confectionary.

Emma will be starting kindergarden in 3 weeks!  I know she is ready for the challenges and she will do great.  She did a reading camp in July for 2 weeks and it helped her gain confidence in reading.  She is reading early reader books and she loves it!  Nathan will start his first year of preschool in 4 weeks.  So far he has not been excited about preschool, but I think he's coming around.  He picked out a dinosaur backpack at the store today and seems excited about wearing it to school!

I'll continue with the picture updates and more when the baby arrives!
