Icy day off from school!

Friday we had the day off due to sleet and ice. Emma made a snow cone with the ice that accumulated on the slide!

Matthew is 2 months old!

On January 19th Matthew turned 2 months old! At his check up appointment he weighed 13 pounds, 11 ounces (78th percentile) and was 24 inches long (87th percentile)!

He's smiling more and has grown some beautiful long eye lashes! As you can see, formation of his double chin is now complete!

Today Matthew enjoyed the beautiful weather on his first time to lay on a blanket in the yard!

7 weeks old today!

That double chin is coming in nicely and he's giving us more smiles!!

Matthew is one month old!

On Dec. 19th Matthew turned one month!  He is growing fast!  He's already over 10 pounds, and working on that double chin!  He sleeps a lot during the day, but has been having more periods of wake time.  Nights are going ok, he wakes to eat every 2-3 hrs.

Since he's our last little baby I'm trying to soak it all in and remember every detail.  Newborns are so floppy!  He tries hard to lift his head off my shoulder, and he smacks his face into my cheek, his mouth open and looking for a nipple to nurse.  These open mouth accidental kisses are so sweet!  He actually has pretty good head control for 4 weeks old.  He loves to look around and see what is going on.  He likes to look at the lights on the Christmas tree, or the ceiling fan lights.
