Emma is 7!

Happy birthday to the baby that started this blog! She's 7! She wanted eggs for breakfast (better than I can make!) so we went to IHOP. She loves music, loves to dance, write, draw and create stories. She loves her brothers, even when they might be annoying her. She's a wonderful, sweet girl and we love her!!

We closed on the new house on Friday. Packers come tomorrow and we move Tuesday!

North Pole Flyer!

We took the kids on the Austin Steam Train North Pole Flyer today. The train leaves from Cedar Park and goes to Bertram and back. The normally 2 hour ride turned into 5 when we had engine trouble, but it was still a fun trip! The kids met Santa, had story time and lots of hot cocoa and candy canes! We were with friends in a roomy car with tables, chairs and a bit of space to spread out.

Matthew is 1 year old!

Happy birthday Matty! It's been a wild year and you have brought us all so much joy and happiness! You are walking everywhere now! You took your first steps on Oct. 22, and within 2 weeks you were off, walking all over! You love to clap and yell, and you can wave hello and goodbye. You always want to get up on the couch and jump on it! You like the TV remote and know exactly what to do it with it: point to the TV and push buttons!

You have 7 teeth now, 4 on top and 3 on the bottom. You like apples, crackers and little bites of cheese. You were not impressed with the birthday cake and frosting!

You are a sweet, happy boy and we all love you so much!! Happy birthday!

Emma lost her first tooth!

Finally lost her first tooth! She's so happy but torn between keeping it and giving it to the Tooth Fairy. We've already had 2 family votes on it, both resulted in a tie.

Matthew is 11 months old!

On Sunday October 19th Matty turned 11 months! It was also my 38th birthday, but let's talk about Matty. I know I missed his 10 month update, so this will catch you up on the last 2 months.

Matty is taking steps! I hope you can see the short video. He's standing alone and varying the number of steps, up to 9 at the most. He's also vocalizing quite a bit! He says Da-da, Ma-ma, and uh-oh! He has learned to clap, crawl up the stairs, and I've found him standing on top of toys! He loves to be on the couch and crawl on it, so we have to be careful in watching him up there.

He's trying more foods, meat, pasta and veggies. Most of it still ends up on the floor though.

Last week at a doctor visit for a cold, he weighed in at 25 pounds, 4 ounces!
