Emma - Two Years

I've (Tony) been terrible about posting on here, since Ronda has done such a wonderful job. But at least when I do I've got something to contribute. Here's a little movie we've been working on for the last 2 years.

Milk! Cheerios!

Today Emma had milk and cheerios for the first time and she really
enjoyed it. She did great with the spoon and didn't make a mess.

Yummy!

Emma is 25 months old!

Emma is 25 months old today! It's amazing the changes that are occurring every day, sometimes every hour!

She loves to sing, and frequently requests that no one else sing. She'll say "No Mommy, Emma sing!" She's learning new songs and getting more words out in the songs that she has heard for awhile. She can sign the ABC's pretty well now, and she just learned "Mary has a Little Lamb."

We still play outside when the weather is nice and Emma loves to go for walks in her wagon. We always have a bear or baby or both on our walks. Just this past weekend she became quite attached to a small brown bear that she's had since she was a baby. I don't know who gave it to her, but she started calling him Teddy and caring him everywhere. The last two nights she has even slept with him.

She loves to tell us when things are "a mess." Frequently she creates the mess and then exclaims "oh no Mommy, a mess!" She still loves the moon and asks to see it many times a day. Every night before bed we go out to see if the moon is out. She knows that the moon is a circle sometimes, and the sun is a circle. She can say most of the shapes and colors now. She still loves to play with her Sesame Street toys, but we haven't been watching the show much lately. Now she likes Sid the Science Kid and Clifford the Big Red Dog. She does still love Barney and Caillou.

This week we were playing outside and she broke our little UT gnome. She had been playing with him, carrying him and pushing him in her stroller. She dropped him face down on the driveway and he busted. She was so upset and kept saying 'Ho-ho broken." (She called him Ho-ho because he had a beard and that's what she calls Santa.) For days every time we went outside she would tell me he was broken.

Swinging with Bear!

This is from this morning. Recently Emma has been playing with her
stuffed bears and she just loves them. She calls them "baas". She
can't get the 'r' sound yet but it's cute!

Church Nursery

Sunday we were in Waco for my Great Uncle Sam's birthday lunch. It was
at the church were Tony and I were married. Emma and I played in the
nursery during the church service. She found Mary, Joseph and a Wise
Man from a nativity set and fed them from some play dishes.

Emma pushing her baby on the trike!

This is from last week. Emma likes her tricycle but also likes to give
her baby a ride.
