Emma is 27 months old!

Emma is now 2 years and 1/4 old! She is turning into such a curious, smart and funny child.

She really loves her Woody doll, from the Toy Story movie. I got him years ago in college when the first movie came out. She calls him "my Woody" and carries him almost everywhere. She even sleeps with him at night along with her Teddy. She likes to play with Elmo and Woody together. They talk to each other, and she will make Woody walk and ride her little stuffed horse. It's so cute! She's also named two little stuffed kitties we have Chloe and Lillipoots. Sometime she wants to sleep with the kitties too. She'll hold them up and have them hug each other, and she'll also tell them to do this or that, or not to do something.

Emma loves to draw, color and paint. She's started drawing people's faces, complete with eyes, nose and mouth. She tells me who she's drawing, mostly her grandparents and Mommy and Daddy. She also loves to draw rainbows right now.

Emma is becoming very aware of her own feelings. If she's been upset and crying, when she's done she'll tell me several times, "Look Mommy, I not crying anymore." She'll also tell me "Emma happy" and ask if Mommy and Daddy are happy. She does make us so happy.

We are trying to decide how to move Emma to a big bed, if we should buy one or move her to the guest bed. She's still in her crib and doing fine there, but we want the change to happen well before the baby arrives.

Big Sister

Emma is going to be a big sister! Baby number two is due September 30,
2010! I'm about 11 weeks and haven't been feeling too good. Hopefully
things will get better as I get into the second trimester.

Emma is 26 months old!

On February 28 Emma turned 2 years and 2 months old! She's growing so fast and learning so much every day. She can sing the entire ABC song now, except she does have a little trouble with "L, M, N, O, P" section. She can identify a lot of the letters. She can also count up to 14 and can identify all the numbers from 1-10.

She says the most amazing things. If you hurt yourself she'll come kiss you and say "all better!" She'll be eating yogurt and smear it across her top lip and tell you that she's got a mustache. She loves to sing "Three Blind Mice" and "I'm a Little Teapot!"

She wakes up about 6am everyday, hollering for mommy to come get her. She's so happy to see me and says good morning. Then she always asks if she can take a bath with Daddy. It started as a weekend thing, and now she wants to take a bath with Daddy all the time! She say to me "bath, Daddy, duckies?" She has to have lots of duckies in the bathtub. She's also a bit obsessed with Ernie and his rubber duckie. She asks me to sing the Rubber Duckie song many times a day. She also loves to watch the old Sesame Street DVD with Ernie in the bathtub. It gets very boring singing this song and watching the clip over and over, but she loves it!

She really likes to eat cereal with milk. Sometimes it's cheerios, but lately she likes corn chex. She can't quite say 'r' every well so it sounds like "con chex." It's really cute. She loves granola bars. I call them cookie bars and she thinks she's eating cookies. She love fruit, blueberries, watermelon, and apples are her favorites.

Emma's latest school project.

This is Emma's actual size. I don't know how but they got her to lay
down and her teachers traced her body. They also traced her feet and
hands. She did some of the coloring.
