Emma is 17 months old!

Today Emma is 17 months old! She amazes us every day in so many ways. This morning she put on her croc shoes for the first time. She loves her shoes and several times a day she will empty her shoe basket and try to put them all on. She also tries to put on her pants by herself, but she’s not quite coordinated enough.

She now has the two lateral incisors on the bottom, for a total of 12 teeth. She’s talking quite a lot too, but mostly we can’t understand it yet. She can say “night-night” now, and she loves to put her babies and animals to bed. She covers them up and pats them, and says “night-night” to them. Sometimes she will even lay down on the floor and pat herself and say “night-night”. I’m waiting for her to say “night-night kitty” or “night-night baby”, which would be her first sentence!

She is always on the go, and it’s hard to get her to stand or sit still long enough for a good photo. I’ve got so many blurry shots of her doing something cute but you can’t tell because she’s moving too fast. Today she was running around eating apple slices and crackers! She just can’t be still even for her snack. She still loves to dance and play any toy with music. She is really into giving hugs and kisses now, and she will just run up to me and throw her arms around my neck. We love her so much!
